Christmas is just around the corner and it’s time for me to take a break from “actively” working on my art. I have been wanting to do some personal catch-up on things that I haven’t been doing in a long time. I rarely post personal stuff in this blog but in the next few days, I will probably blog more about personal life, my kids etc.
We did our Christmas shopping a couple of weeks ago and the presents are finally wrapped and ready for Christmas. So, we are basically quite free this weekend so we took the kids to one of our favorite places to visit, the 24-hour bookstore BookXcess at Tamarind Square, Cyberjaya, which is about 30 minutes drive from our apartment. As a book lover and a bookworm, I LOVE this place simply because the books prices are so affordable. Books are expensive in Malaysia because most of them are imported from overseas, but this bookstore offers books at 50% discount. If given the chance I could literally spend hours here browsing through the many sections 😉
The kids bought one book each and so did my hubby and me. Total spent including discount was less than MYR60 (approximately USD14.35). Dirt cheap!
Here are some photos that were taken today.
Lunch at the KFC!
Kids section in BookXcess. This is just one of the sections. The place is huge.
A classic car – a decor in the automotive section. Of course, my Spiderman felt compelled to take a photo!
Here are some the books I bought recently, including the one I bought today.
I used to read a couple of books per week but since the kids came I hardly have time to read. I think it’s time to jump-start the reading habit 😉
